Ottertail Marine opened its doors in the Spring of 2007. We saw the need to put “service” back into customer service. The shop has a combined service experience of over 60 years.
We are currently certified in Evinrude and Mercury outboards. We started as a repair, maintenance, and storage facility, but in the Spring 2013 we added the Manitou pontoon line and Mercury outboards. In the Fall of 2013 we added the Evinrude line and in 2020 we added Yamaha. In 2023 we added Minnkota Service to our business. We at Ottertail Marine strive to offer our customers products that not every shop has. We want our customers to be able to stand out. We are always looking for the “Wow where did you get that?!”
With that in mind, we added APEX Marine to our product lines in the Fall of 2014. APEX manufactures Qwest, Angler Qwest Pontoons. These pontoons are very high quality and very affordable. Apex has an extensive option list and the customization that is available, along with the color schemes found nowhere else, makes them one of a kind. Take a look, we think you will be impressed!
We now offer pontoons from 13 to 27 feet. We have electric power, and units that will handle 300 hp and run in excess of 50 mph! We understand how important time on the water is and strive to get our customers back on the water as quickly and inexpensively as possible.

Hello, Dwayne and Lisa here. We started this business when we saw customers in the area needing better customer service. We try hard to make sure everyone is taken care of the way they would like to be.
We know “it’s no fun if the boat don’t run” Dwayne has been fixing boats and engines since 1982. He may be slowing down a bit and getting a little grey but can still get you back out there!
Hey it’s Hannah, my job is to keep the grass mowed and looking good for our customers. During the Summer I answer the phone and will help you at the counter. During the rest of the year I am a teacher.
